MY PLEDGE FOR THE 90th DISTRICT COURT SERVING CHARLEVOIX COUNTY AND EMMET COUNTY
“I promise to do my job honorably and to always approach it with the integrity that should go hand-in-hand with this profession. I promise that everyone will be heard. I promise to be good-natured and patient. I promise to be thoughtful and conscientious. Most importantly, I promise to be fair and respectful of everybody in this courtroom. I think that these are values that the district court should adhere to on an everyday basis and I will demand that from everybody that appears here.“
This is the pledge that I made the day that I became the 90th District Court's judge. After practicing law for almost two decades, I have been in front of many judges. One thing remains consistent, the court system works best when those ideals are present. I believe in those ideals and have practiced them, both personally and professionally, my entire life. And I have carried those with me onto the bench.
I appreciate that Judge Erhart spoke at my swearing-in ceremony and I am so honored that he has endorsed me as District Court Judge.
